He will always keep you laughing and smiling with his silly antics. He is very compassionate, loving and gentle. He is trained in basic obedience and 100% crate trained and potty trained. Hoot is great with other dogs in the home, off-leash, and in his yard, but will sometimes be wary of dogs while on-leash due to a traumatic experience where he was attacked by a very large dog that didn't let go of his nose. He is great with cats, children and creatures in general. Hoot would prefer to live in a home with a yard that he can run around in but not live in; he is well-trained with excellent indoor manners and wants to be part of the family!

  • My wife and I have had Catahoulas in the past and still have one old boy at 12 years.
We own an acreage in Canada and would very much like to get another Catahoula and prefer rescuing a dog vs buying from a breeder.
We love our pets and treat them very well (sleep inside) and can send pictures of our present dog and cats that all get along tremendously well. We had two Catahoulas (brothers from the same litter rescued 12 years ago) but one has passed away from cancer.
Don’t know the ins and outs of rescuing a dog across the border but would very much like to pursue the adoption of Hootenanny and look forward to hearing from you.
